Peter C. Zeuli, CFA
On a fall day in 1987, Peter saw that his father David
was a little upset with something so he inquired about
what was wrong. His father proceeded to tell him that he
was about to buy a new car but he no longer could because
some of the money he was counting on had greatly decreased
do to a pull back in stock market. It was at this instant
that Peter’s father taught him the most important lessen
when managing client assets with two simple words “always
diversify”.
Before he decided that a career in finance was the
right choice, Peter graduated Villanova University with a
BA in Economics. He also earned varsity letters for the
schools football & wrestling teams and became member
of the Villanova’s Economic Honor Society
Peter’s first foray into the finance was through the
financial planning side of the business. While working
with the late Michael Santarpio, Peter learned some
valuable lessons on how to deal with clients “the right
way”. During this time he picked up some valuable credit
experience by evaluating pledged collateral for business
loans at United Valley Bank. Assisting the loan committee
team at UVB allowed Peter to develop a solid, real world
way of analyzing complex investment portfolios.
Peter was soon approached with the unique opportunity
of assisting management in the formation of a
broker/dealer and long/short hedge fund, Windsor Sheffield
& Sheffield Capital Management. This was Peter’s
first exposure to hardcore investment analysis. After a
few years of gaining valuable analytical experience, Peter
felt his true calling was in asset management. With that
he began to develop and implemented the investment
principals currently being used at Philadelphia Investment
Partners, LP (“PIP”).
In 1999, Peter decided the time was right to introduce
the investing public his vision of what a truly
value-added investment advisory & wealth management
firm should represent. Philadelphia Investment Partners,
LP philosophy is to provide its clients with an experience
that combines institutional level knowledge with the
personal service associated with smaller boutique firms.
In order to better serve the needs of PIP clients and
after several years of diligent studying and preparation,
Peter earned the right to use the CFA designation. The
principals’ set forth by the CFA Institute, governing
body for CFA Charterholders, is the backbone for both
Peter and PIP investment & ethical processes.
Along with his wife Gabriella and 2 daughters Marissa
& Madeline, Peter resides in Cherry Hill, NJ. Peter
and his wife are active in many civic associations and
charitable organizations including the Union League of
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Horticultural Association,
Philabundence and Cooper Hospital. In his spare time,
Peter is an avid triathlon participant, reader and
traveler.
